![]() I formally left my full-time at Jumpcut for personal reasons but had those personal reasons not occurred I would have no reason why I wouldn't have continued with Jumpcut. This creates a unique culture where we get a lot done, but you don't have to sacrifice your own life. There is a culture of trust that a JCer won't let another JCer down. Purpose - Changing how education is going to be by the end of our lives, what could be a better mission and purpose?Ĭulture - If I had to summarize the culture of Jumpcut it would be the word "Trust" - there is no one looking over your shoulder, no one asking you to clock in your time, and no one asking why you are working from home/Hawaii/Japan today. ![]() Product - Everyone on the team cares about the product down to if a comma should be added to the closed captioning. At Jumpcut, if you want to grow, the opportunity is yours. If you told me before I joined Jumpcut that I within my first year alone at Jumpcut I would manage a 7-figure Facebook Ads account, lead a product launch that brought in over 7-figures in its first week, and help turn the company from burning money to making more money in the bank than we know what to do with, I wouldn't have believed you. Professional Development - My time at Jumpcut was one of the two biggest professional development periods in my life. The team here don't just work to work, they work to be the best in the world and that energy drove me to push beyond my own limits every day to never let them down. I will never forget the outside work conversations I had with everyone from our head of marketing who wants to be the best ethical marketer of our generation to our production intern who wanted to be an award-winning editor. Everyone at Jumpcut strives to be the best in the world at what they do. People - I was so lucky to be surrounded by the people who work at Jumpcut. Bain is fantastic, but Jumpcut for the right person is even better. Jumpcut is the best place I've worked and I've had 5 places I've worked at before starting at Jumpcut including Bain, which Glassdoor has named the Best Place to Work. Tl dr: Jumpcut Studios an exciting place to work with a lot to do and great people to work alongside! In my opinion, the level of thoughtfulness/foresight shown by management is probably hard to find at many startups. Between things like Company Learning Days (where employees dedicate a half day to learning whatever they are passionate about) and regular comprehensive employee reviews/feedback, employees have real opportunities to grow.Įven though it is just a startup right now, the management team is clearly planning and building the company with big goals in mind. Learning/personal development are a big deal at Jumpcut Studios. I can honestly say employees seem genuinely excited to be working there, and they really do care about the company, its goals, and each other. The skills I’ve gained here are very relevant and the engineering design concepts I’ve learned will benefit my professional career for years to come.įrom the company values to the hiring process to the job perks, Jumpcut Studio's management team clearly puts a lot of thought and effort into cultivating the company's work environment/culture, and it's paid off. There is an effective learning culture, and no work is rushed if it requires taking shortcuts.Įngineering specifically uses a modern technology stack. The people I’ve worked with here are some of the most intelligent and experienced, and these are the same people that not only become your mentors, but influential teammates. Even as an intern here, any suggestions I’ve made have been considered and implemented, or at worst deferred with precise reasoning. As a relatively small company we are able to leverage transparency across departments to ensure work is done in sync. Unlike other companies where I have worked at, everyone at Jumpcut is on the same page. ![]() It’s evident that every employee holds company values as his/her own, and goes above and beyond expectations in the best interest of company goals. Although we move quickly, the company strongly emphasizes producing high quality output, and learning only by following best practices. I’ve experienced the most significant growth here at Jumpcut than I have anywhere else.
